What Really Happens at Management Meetings

...or how the GTM Olympics came to be...

Honcho 1: Employee morale is low. People don't know or trust people in other departments.

Honcho 2: We should hold a team-building event!

Honcho 3: I don't want to pay for it, but don't tell anyone. That would lower morale even more.

Honcho 2: What can we do that a lot of people would attend?

Honcho 3: A pub crawl?

Honcho 4: One of my staff suggested an Olympics-style competition. Sporting events seem to be well attended here.

Honcho 3: I don't want to pay for it.

Honcho 1: Yeah, that might work. But won't people just stick with their own groups? How does that get people interacting?

Honcho 4: We'll make the teams ourselves; that will guarantee integration.

Honcho 3: As long as it doesn't cost any money, I'll back it.

...the conversation in this post is entirely the imagination of the Site Administrator, who did not actually attend the meeting where the GTM Olympics was birthed.
